Conventions these tools use
- Counting days. By default, "days between" is the plain difference between two dates (1 March to 2 March is 1 day), the way you count nights on a trip. Tick "include the end date" to count both the first and the last day, as many leave and rental calculations do.
- Weekends. Saturday and Sunday are the default weekend, but you can pick any days, for example Friday and Saturday in several Middle Eastern countries.
- Month ends. Adding one month to 31 January gives 28 February, or 29 February in a leap year, and the tools tell you when this happens.
- Public holidays are not included, because they differ by country, region and year.
All date calculations use whole calendar days, so daylight-saving changes never shift a result.
