Works with any currency
These tools do not assume a currency, a tax rate or a tipping custom. Enter amounts in dollars, euros, pounds, rupees or anything else; results are rounded to two decimal places, which suits most currencies. For currencies without minor units, such as the Japanese yen, simply ignore the decimals.
Common pitfalls
- Stacked discounts do not add up. 20% off and then an extra 10% off is 28% off, not 30%. The discount calculator shows the combined rate.
- Bigger packs are not always cheaper. Compare the price per kilogram, liter or item with the unit price calculator, even when the packs use different units.
- Tipping customs differ widely. In some countries a service charge is already included in the bill. The tip calculator lets you choose any percentage and split the total.
